Michelle "Chelle" Dummer

FDI AIFD Instructor

Even as small child, Chelle loved flowers. You would often find her gathering flowers from the garden, open fields and maybe even the neighbor’s. (Don’t tell!) As an adult, her professional journey in floral design officially began in the spring of 1997; working for a florist cutting and taping oasis into teacups for 8 hours a day. (Oh, joy!) Her talent was quickly recognized and soon, she moved into a designer role. (Whew!) Continuing as a retail floral designer until the birth of her second child, Chelle found family and work-life flexibility with beginning her own studio based floral business. Specialties are weddings and sympathy designs. With nearly two decades of design experience she has a vast portfolio and loves working with clients to help create unique floral arrangements for their special occasion. Chelle’s floral design work has been featured at the annual Governor’s Conference on Tourism, the Ninth Moon Floral Design Exposition and at the Frank Adam’s Flower Hour. Grateful for opportunities that have allowed her to work with and learn from designers from around the U.S. and Belgium, Chelle loves sharing her talents in the FDI Learning Center.
