Description: Clustered bell-shaped blooms on along stem.
Color: White, purple and blue
Botanical facts: The name is from the Latin word campana (bell) referring to the bell-shaped flowers. Campanula is native to Europe and Asia including the Mediterranean, the Alps, and the Himalayas.
Design notes: These beautiful blossoms work well in mixed seasonal arrangements and more contemporary styled designs. The stems are 18-24 inches long. The flowers are not fragrant.
Purchasing hints: Purchase when half of the buds are open and half still closed.
Conditioning: Remove all foliage that will be below the water line. Cut two inches off of the stems with a sharp knife. Hydrate in a solution of water and commercial floral food for two hours before storage or usage.
Additional notes: Campanula do best in a vase with water. They are heavy drinkers and do not do well in floral foam.
